MCTV 15 INTERNAL PROCEDURE TO RESPOND TO EMERGENCY NOTICES

Our goal is to get emergency info posted on EBB ASAP via remote control or on site.

Can we override programming to broadcast just an announcement, or a short series of announcements? (can we change the switcher remotely - or does that need to be done physically at the control room?)

Make PSA's - Shorts (grant funding possible resource?) AWARE and PREPARE

    * fire, drought, flooding, snow emergency, earthquake, lost persons, road closures, hazmat

Get maps, GIS in jpg files for immediate availability on EBB

On-Line FEMA training at http://www.fema.gov

Know and post info on COS Emergency Plan as part of any volunteer training, producer applications, public access

Meet with area Emergency Response Team and get draft plan discussed (Audra)

Work with COS EMT, Firesafe Council, CDF, etc. groups to make PSA's. Funding from Emergency Response budgets available?
