FORMAT DISCS

• DVD Backup Recorder –Use Red remote control (top recorder is also marked with red tape)
• DVD Master Recorder –Use Green remote control (bottom recorder is also marked with green tape)
• DVD Player –Use Yellow remote control (top of monitors is also marked with yellow tape)

• Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the DVD recorder and place a disc in the tray, then use same button to close tray.
• A prompt screen will come up asking format disc now?
• Use LEFT ARROW (located in center of remote next to enter) then press ENTER to select yes – repeat for the next yes on the prompt screen and then select start on the next prompt. (left arrow – yes left arrow – yes left arrow – start)
• When formatting is finished, use the RETURN button (located just below the center arrows sections) click RETURN twice to return to main screen.

• Repeat the above procedures for DVD Master Recorder using the Green Remote

FINALIZE DISKS

After recording a show, each disc in the recorders need to be finalized to be able to use them in all other DVD players

1. Stop the recording and wait a few seconds for the initialization to start
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the DVD recorder
3. At the prompt, press the REC button to start the finalization process
4. When the disc has been finalized, press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to retrieve the finalized disc.
5. You must do this for each DVD recorder

1. Press the Functions button (located towards the bottom of each remote and to the right of the ARROWS and ENTER button)
2. Use the down arrow to scroll down to the function Other Functions, then press ENTER
3. Use the down arrow to scroll down to DVD Management, then press ENTER
4. Use the down arrow to scroll down to Finalize and press ENTER
