Signal Path Calibration

All monitors need to be routinely calibrated in order to provide a consistent look with uniform color, brightness and contrast. The ideal is to provide a broadcast standard reference picture on all displays. This is all but impossible giving the low end nature of our equipment. Never the less, a descent level of calibration is possible.

Procedure

  • Have all equipment up and running.
  • Switch all cameras to 'BARS' mode. Button marked 'BARS' on the left side of camera. Note color bars coming into the first three inputs of the video switcher.
