Copying from VHS to DVD

1. Turn on DVD Recorder and S-VHS Recorder
2. Put Blank DVD in DVD Recorder
3. Put VHS tape (to be copied) in S-VHS Recorder
4. Ensure Channel 3 is selected and showing in the LCD display
   • if not, use DVD remote control – “INPUT SELECT” button, located under the “DVD POWER” button to change to CH 3?
5. Press “PLAY” on the S-VHS Recorder (located on the drop down face panel)
   • Allow video to play until you see a black screen
   • Then press “PAUSE”
6. Press “REC” on the DVD Recorder (the white button with the red dot)
   • Wait until the counter on the DVD Recorder reads 10
   • Then Press “PLAY” on the S-VHS Recorder
   • Check that the red “REC” indicator is on
7. After recording is complete DVD MUST BE FINALIZED

FINALIZE

1. Using DVD remote control – Press “FUNCTIONS” button
   • located just below the blue buttons
2. Press the “V” - down arrow button - to navigate to “Other Functions”
   • Press “ENTER”
3. Press the “V” – down arrow button – to navigate to “Disc Management”
   • Press “ENTER”
4. Press the “V” – down arrow button – to navigate to “ Finalize”
   • Press “ENTER”
5. Then it will ask you a series of questions
   • Press “<” button to “YES” - Press “ENTER”
   • Press “<” button to “START” – Press “ENTER”
6. When Finalization is complete – Press “ENTER”

7. Take disc out and identify it by writing on it with a permanent marker pen
   • (NEVER a ball point pen)
