Todd Cory
Todd Cory is a board member and volunteer at MCTV-15. In 2003 he led the effort to bring the award winning news program "Democracy Now!" to MCTV-15. After finding closed doors at our regional "public" radio service, Jefferson Public RadioŽ out of Ashland Oregon, he decided to find a way around their censorship.
 "Democracy Now!" has a great program aimed at supporting local cable access (P.E.G) and community broadcast radio stations, by offering the program free of charge. That being said, there IS a yearly fee MCTV-15 must pay for the subscription to access the signal via satellite. This costs over $360.00 a year. So, if you value this service and want it to continue, it is important you support it.
We have had several people cancel their JPRŽ memberships and donate to MCTV instead. Call 530-938-5910 or e-mail info[at]mctv15.com. Also consider supporting Pacifica and "Democracy Now!" It costs them money to produce this program and donations are needed. http://www.democracynow.org/contribute/donate_money
MCTV-15 is available over the entire South Siskiyou County cable system including Dunsmuir, Mc Cloud, Weed and Mt. Shasta. Tell your friends about "Democracy Now!" and call 926-6128 to thank Northland Cable for their help in bringing MCTV-15's service to our local area.
As of May 15th 2005 MCTV-15 moved to a block schedule. This brings satellite feeds of:
- Free Speech TV (FSTV) from Midnight to 5 AM,
- Democracy Now! weekdays at 5 AM & 9 PM
- University of California weekdays from 9 AM to Noon and 1 PM to 4 PM, and
- NASA weekdays from 4 PM to 6 PM.
The broadcasts are not funded by MCTV-15 and are solely dependent on community support. If you watch any of these offerings, please consider supporting them with a much-needed donation.

Bless you! I was checking out the Democracy Now! web site and saw that you broadcast the show on your station. I think that is fabulous! I lived in Weed from age 2 to age 18 so it is really good to know that Democracy Now! is available to people in my old community (as well as my current community, in Los Angeles). Democracy Now! is such an important show and a valuable resource for information in an age when so much information is withheld or altered.
Knowledge is power! Please keep up with the progressive programming on MCTV.

Thankyou so much for your work with the station!
I hope the board that micromanages the station will realize they are there to make it availible, and that they are not there to restrict access....
As soon as they find their positions to be 'work' they should realize they are in the wrong place....
Keep up the great work! :) Life is all about doing what feels right, after all!
