Block Schedule

The above diagram shows the blocking of shows for cablecasting on MCTV 15. Block programming was devised to:

• Bring more interesting shows to our viewers
• Minimize volunteer efforts in preparing the schedule
• Allow producers and sponsors to select their show cable cast times

Guidelines

• Series can use time slots Mon-Fri: 6am-9am, Mon-Fri: 5pm-9pm, Mon-Fri:10pm-12am
• Unused time slots wil be filled with the EBB
• The program director will create a best of selection to be played on Saturday and Sunday starting at 1pm.
• Producers need to be aware that some time slots each month will be used by local governemnet meetings.
• Hour long shows should start at the top of the hour.

Policies

• First come, first served - no special privileges
• Each and every show must have a signed show agreement.
• Shows must identify the producer/sponsor with contact information at beginning and end of shows for at least 20 seconds.
• Acknowledgment notice when MCTV 15 access facilities are used.
• Shows will be shown at least one time
• First run shows have priority over re-runs
• Priority: local government > local producer > local sponsor > non-local

• Series
  • Time slots available only after the third show submissions
  • At least one first run show per month.
  • Time slots are granted by random drawing
  • Time slots are granted for 3months
  • Priority: 30mins > 60mins > 90mins > 120mins

• Non-Series
  • Time slots unfilled by Series are available

• Youth shows 3:00pm-6:00pm
• Mature shows 12:00am-5:00am
• Religious shows on Sunday
• New Age shows on Tuesday
